Build, Protect, Enhance, Promote. Let’s create, maintain, and enjoy a continuous footpath, across New York State, forever. The Finger Lakes Trail system, over 950 miles in length, runs from the Pennsylvania-New York border in Allegany State Park to the Long Path in the Catskill Forest Preserve. Branch Trails include routes to Niagara Falls, The Genesee River Valley, The Great Eastern Trail south of Corning, The Central Finger Lakes, and The Syracuse Region. Built and maintained almost entirely by volunteers, this system covers some of the most scenic land in New York State. We encourage you to hike The Finger Lakes Trail and we welcome you to volunteer to keep it beautiful. Select from a number of Hiking Programs and Events, and always read Trail Conditions before you embark. Create history and preserve nature. Inexpensive Guides and Books, available online, are an invaluable resource, and be sure to learn about Donations and Gift Memberships. Hike The Finger Lakes Trail and celebrate the scenic beaut that rests naturally in our beloved New York State.
